(SEO) Search Engine Optimisation

The internet is a peculiar place. We decide we want to be dotcom millionaires, have a website built to enable that and then wonder why nobody comes by to visit. It`s a simple analogy really. Imagine building the best looking, best stocked supermarket in the UK – right in the middle of the biggest forest in the UK. It may well be the best supermarket and you may well have paid highly for the pleasure but if nobody knows it was there why would you expect them to pop in and spend their money.

First you would need to build roads, then put signs up directing people, then tell the people who make maps to put you on their particular map so customers can start to search for you. Once this has happened prospective customers will start popping in but they may not find what they were looking for. If you specialised in selling garden equipment and wanted to promote lawnmowers, it would be a good idea to let the map makers know this so they can put you in their index and if anyone was looking for lawnmowers they would search through it and hopefully consider visiting your superstore, knowing where it was and that you specifically sold lawnmowers. You could also place an advert on the map to improve results. The map makers would be happier knowing that their users found exactly what they were looking for and if they told their friends that your shop was exactly what they were looking for they would be more willing to put you closer to the top of their index.

Okay, analogy over.

Obviously the main ‘map makers’ on the Internet are Google, Bing, MSN and Yahoo and the ‘map’ is their search results page.

Why would you choose our Search Engine Optimisation Services?

Almost every website is analysed and indexed by the search engines, so what makes them choose who to put on the first page? Google has a very complicated set of rules that changes on a regular basis and by understanding this it will help to get your website indexed closer to the top. At banana we recognise that the raison d'etre of any search engine is to provide the searcher with the most accurate results possible. It is our firm belief that although there are fast-track methods other optimisation companies may use to ‘dupe’ the search engines to get your website to the first page these methods will ultimately, and very quickly, tumble your site irrecoverably back down.

Website Optimising

Not only do we work hard to provide you with a premium search engine optimisation service we also offer website optimisation. What's the difference I hear you cry? We look at your website and try to improve the feel and useability for humans. If we think it would be beneficial for some better product descriptions, or it could be helpful to have a sizing chart then we will suggest this to you. If we think the buying process could be tweaked or streamlined to maximise your sales we would point this out.

Whats the point on getting on the first page of Google or the other main search engines if when the searcher lands on your site they don`t get the information they want or they don`t feel compelled to buy from you?

"We believe that optimising your website for the benefit of humans and giving them the most relevant information relating to your products or services will be noticed by the search engines and ultimately cement your search result positions firmly on the first page"
